MacBeth, Modern Day ~ Clear Springs Charger Theatre

Still playing catch up! Jake had the 2nd lead in his school's fall production of MacBeth, modern day style. He along with the whole cast, put in many hours of practice all while keeping up with his academic commitments. He's taking dual credit college classes at the College of the Mainland's satellite campus, then going to high school for his other classes. He's packing a full schedule and I'm amazed that he's able to keep all A's during these long play production practices.

Jake was cast as Banquo, MacBeth's friend and later his nemesis. He always seems to land the role of the "good guy". True to his real life character!  Here's a few pics from the production!

And my all time favorite part and picture, because it depicts the gentleness of his soul, and the fact he's a gentle giant. (This boy is only a year younger than Jake, but looks like a child next to him!).

These productions are very emotional for me on so many levels. The fact my baby is just about grown, and his scenes in this play took me back to his childhood of when he loved all things camouflage. As he was on stage during the fighting scenes, I remembered back to his younger years playing soldier and rolling in the grass! He knew all about guns, every sound each one made, and he made those sounds often! Oh, to have him little again! I can when I close my eyes and drift back into my memory to the precious times of yesteryear.

A mother's baby will always be her baby, even when he's 6 foot 3 inches tall and 240 lbs. if I could only hold him and rock him again!
