Crawfish in January!

My brother, Wade! Arrived here from Afghanistan on 1/1/16. He was on leave for a month. We had such a mild winter, the crawfish were available earlier than usual! We usually try to cook some while he's home in the states! It was raining, but that didn't stop us! That's what a garage is for! They were delicious!

Our master crawfish chef, Ross! With a last name of Guidry, he has to carry on the tradition!

Rayna had her tonsils out and didn't want to be photographed! And I guess Brian was on the patio cooking his steak. Poor thing, allergic to seafood, what a travesty!

Happy New Year! 2016

I finally caught the blog up thru 2015. Can I just say I'm glad that year is over! Two surgeries and recovering made the year one not to remember!

I must admit, I didn't even stay up to bring in the New Year!

Tyler and Shelby brought in the new year in Houston! Oh to be young again!

I hope and pray this new year brings calm, peace and serenity! (Since I'm posting this late, I already know the year started off with troubles but it seems to be on the downside now!)

Christmas 2015

MThis Christmas was very laid back. I had a big work project I was working on the whole month of December that occupied every waking moment. Still recovering from Tarlov Cyst surgery plus work, there wasn't much time or energy for any of our traditional Christmas festivities such as cooking making, light seeing, etc. there was also little time to shop. Luckily the boys asked for little and Brian and I decided on one gift each. We have all we need and each other, so that lightens the stress! We did decorate! That in itself was a great accomplishment! The weather was hot, not the perfect Christmas temp, but it was what it was! Here's a few pics!
